MICHAEL N. MANNEH

Michael N. Manneh is a writer, technology professional, mediator-trained communicator, and longtime community college employee whose work and life have centered on people, service, communication, and the questions that shape how we understand ourselves.

Born in Amman, Jordan, to Palestinian parents, Michael immigrated to the United States with his family as a young child. His experiences with immigration, family expectations, adversity, faith, responsibility, and belonging would later become part of the personal foundation for Who Are You To You: A Quiet Search for Self-Discovery.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on communication and conflict dynamics. Over the course of roughly three decades in the community college system, he has served students and colleagues in instructional, program, administrative, and information technology roles.

His interests span psychology, philosophy, technology, language, faith, human behavior, cooking, hiking, and the ocean. Across those interests runs a consistent curiosity about people: the stories we inherit, the roles we accept, the ways we adapt, and the possibility of living with greater awareness of who we are.

Who Are You To You? grew from that curiosity and from Michael’s willingness to examine his own life with honesty. His goal is not to present himself as someone who has solved identity, but as someone willing to sit with the question and invite others to do the same.
